Mobile Client Interface addon 2.0 Released (Web Based for all smartphones)

After a very successful start one year ago, We are happy to announce the release of version 2.0 of our Mobile Client Interface Addon for WHMCS.

 

With this addon, mobile devices that visit your site are automatically changed to a mobile version of your full WHMCS website. This mobile website allows your users to control every aspect of their client interface that the default install of WHMCS gives you. We have accomplished this by creating several full WHMCS templates that are designed for mobile devices.

 

2.0 Provides the following:

 

• Installation is now as simple as copying a few files.
  
• Choose if you want tablets forwarded to your mobile site
  
• Choose if you want to warn mobile devices that they are on your full site
  
• Custom warning message with HTML tags supported
  
• 9 New smarty variables for you to expand your template functionality
  
• Mobile Template selection
  
• Mobile Cart template selection
  
• Install is now licensed
  
• Install is now encoded with ioncube

2.0 Brings many changes from 1.5.4 that improve user involvement. The biggest is the fact that we no longer require users to modify the header.tpl file of their full template. We now do all of the mobile detection with hooks. This means that the addon is completely WHMCS native! The other new point about 2.0 is that it's both WHMCS4 and WHMCS 5 compatible in one install. This means we have a single code base to deal with now and can support older versions of WHMCS for longer.

A new version of our WHMCS Mobile Website will be released shortly. This is a small incremental update that will include better support for new windows phones as well as certain tablets.

2.1 Beta 3 Changelog:

 

1. Rewrote device detection routine for better tablet and phone detection.

2. Added support for newer windows phones

3. Added a secondary mobile template selection for 1 off mobile sites (By Request)

4. Turned off autocapitalize and autocorrect for all fields on the mobile site for better functionality. (By Request - Searly)

 

Possible additions before 2.1 final (In current beta build but disabled until tested by developers).

1. Selection that disables forcing mobile users to a selected mobile template (This allows them to type ?systpl=SOMETHING in the url bar without bouncing them back to the mobile template)

2. Drop down product selections from our addon section that will pull product specs and place them on the homepage automatically. This prevents users from having to modify their homepage.tpl file to update prices and product info.
