2CO

I am looking at opening up a 2CO account, but I have heard about some issues with their recurring passbacks.

I've read the following:

The only problem with 2CO is the lack of passbacks on recurring sales. It will passback on the original sale, but never on recurring billing dates (successes or failures)

Just wondering if this is a problem with 2CO and WHMCS as well. If a recurring CC payment fails with 2CO after the initial sale (say on the 2nd or 3rd payment), will WHMCS be able to pick it up from the callback?

WHMCS does not use 2CheckOut Recurring Payments. It is simply not possible with the way their system is setup. Why? Well...

1. Promotions would not work

2. Configurable Options would not be possible

3. Callbacks are only made on the first payment (as you have mentioned)

4. All products would require 2CO Product IDs entering for them (products, domains and addons) and not just one, they require one product id for each payment term

5. It would not work with the standard gateway module system

For these reasons alone it is impossible to even attempt an integration. Until they modify their system to be more flexible, then recurring integration will simply not be possible and WHMCS will remain working on an invoice payment basis with them. They don't even like the integration I did for invoice payments - they like everything to be specified products in their control panel - but then I don't like their system so I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree! :)

Regards,

Matt
