What if user changes domain name?

Hello,

 

I have a user who did not yet have a domain name in mind when first creating his account. He signs up for a hosting account with me and just puts in another domain name that he owns (for example: joesmith.com) but knows he doesn't ultimately want to use that name for this new site.

 

So his temporary web address, for example, becomes http://123.45.67.890/~joesmith

 

He then chooses a domain name (purchased separately) that he wants his site to be (let's say my-example-site.com).

 

Do I have to update or change something specific, aside from the usual domain name servers, for everything to work properly?
