Password encoding issues

Hello,

 

I started to notice that the password feild under my users products/services has a lot of encoding issues. No matter which client/password it's in a strange format. e.g:

 

�� �~�+�

 

What could be the problem?

This also appears in the same format in the welcome emails. But it only appears to effect the password field, nothing else.

Sorry guys this is getting very serious now. It's also effected all security questions.

 

Basically I'm having a lot of issues with encoding.

 

I'm too scared to submit a ticket asking for WHMCS to take a look at this due to recent events but I desperately need to get this revolved.

 

Yesterday I used the scare to clean up my install and remove any modules, perhaps this is what caused it?

I had a very stupid moment, my fault.

 

Yesterday I was over thinking security and decided to change my CC hash in the config file. I wasn't sure if this could be used in any way and don't store credit card details anyway.

 

As it stands for Credit card hash I didn't releize at the time that it's used to encrypt client passwords and security questions.

 

Well, I found a backup of my site, re-added my original hash and it's all back to normal.
