Mismatch between renewal, invoices, and cron

I've just noticed a slight mismatch between :

renewal date

invoice

cron

To start with, I have late fees applied to 0 days after expiry

The cron set to operate daily at 01:00

So as an example from an Invoice Payment Confirmation email

package - domainname.co.uk (27/04/2011 - 26/04/2012)

Now, my understanding of this, is that on 26/04/2012 the payment MUST be made

On 28/04/2012 the cron then sends out First Invoice Overdue Notice, and suspends the account for non-payment

However it doesn't apply the Late Fee until 28/04/2012 (a full day later)

There is an entire day missing

I have traced this to the

Setup -> Automation Settings

First Overdue Reminder Enter the number of days after the invoice due date you would like to send the first overdue notice (0 to disable)

The minimum you can enter is 1, which is the one day which ends up missing

Therefore 0 needs to be entered, but NOT disabled

Any and all advice welcome
