PayPal Express Checkout

I am currently using PayPal Website Payments Pro as the payment option in WHMCS. With PayPal Website Payments Pro the customers don't leave your website. The entire transaction takes places on your website. As part of the PayPal Website Payments Pro agreement, you are required to accept PayPal as an alternate payment option, where the customers have the option of logging into their PayPal account and paying directly from their PayPal account. Normally, PayPal Website Payments Pro merchants offer "PayPal Express Checkout" as an alternate payment option.

WHMCS version 5 now includes PayPal Express Checkout. With PayPal Express, the customers get directed to a PayPal page where they must log into their PayPal account and make the payment. However, with the new WHMCS PayPal Express Checkout module, I am noticing that it works exactly the same way as the PayPal Website Payments Standard. The customers are given the option of NOT logging into their PayPal account if they don't want to and can make the payment as a guest by typing their credit card information right on that page.

When I activated PayPal Express in WHMCS 5 and tested the payment option on my checkout page, I got directed to the same PayPal page as PayPal Website Payments Standard. PayPal Express should not direct you to this page. It should force you to log into your PayPal account and not give you the option of checking out without having to log in.

Has anyone experienced this problem with the WHMCS PayPal Express module?

Thank you.
