apt-get
Hi, I want to set tax rules according to the payment module which client selects. Like: If client selects Paypal then TaxRule1 will be used. If another one selects wire transfer, then TaxRule2 will be used. The goad is different payment gateways have different comissions. such as 5% or 3%. Thanks
tripler
I have no knowledge of the rules but I dont think its legal.. or maybe just ethical to change tax structure. or any pricing based on processing fees. Theres a few different reasons I can think for your doing this. Out of curiosity how does having certain tax rules by way of payment change.
apt-get
But changing payment amount i.e. product/service amount will make problem. All payment gateways have different commissions.
laszlof
Commissions are not taxes, and I'm fairly certain its illegal to charge them as such.
apt-get
Yes but tax rules are the way to get commissions.
tripler
Yes but tax rules are the way to get commissions. Tax rules are for tax. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax You are not a merchant, reseller merchant or a gateway provider. If you were you would then have a fee schedule for processing clients transactions. You are using a third party provider to process payments therefore its an expense to you.
