Configurable items, sliders, and the upgrade/downgrade template

As it stands today the ability to use sliders is limited to the order template. The use of sliders in the order process provides a nice UI but unfortunately any configurable items set to a quantity value (slider on the order template) turn into plain old text boxes on the upgrade/downgrade page which translates to a poor customer experience. I'm interested in bringing sliders into the upgrade/downgrade template (WHMCS 5 default theme). Does anyone know if that's possible?

As it turns out robbing the code from the slider order template and adding it to the default template is fairly easy. But, what's lacking for a clean integration is support from WHMCS for a slider step value that is part of WHMCS core and available to the slider items as a variable. I need to be able to adjust the step value (10, 100, 1000, etc.) dependent on the type of option.

step values are something that we need as well, would make it a lot easier for some of our cloud and vps packages

we also need to display the individual pricing for the option the slider is working with as well, because otherwise its not obvious to customers when signing up
