Advise requested: How many email accounts to setup (small installation)

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I am new here. I started to configure WHMCS and I have this question: How many emails setup for this as a whole.

I have defined just one until now but I like to read your comments.

The support will be 2 persons (sales and support)

One manager for both

Do I need to set up another account for the ticket system I mean, the customers can send email an open a ticket or do they have to enter the portal in order to do so?

Any other recommendation is very welcome.

Thanks in advance for your t ime,

Here are my suggestions

Personnel :

Each person should have their own LogIn

You then setup the staff with specific priviledges, based on that role, and to help you WHMCS have these available but you can of course modify these

You perform this under Administrators and Administrator Roles

email :

Each of the above staff should have their own email address (that way there is no excuse if they ignore emails, you can then access these if there is an issue)

The Support section has one email address, these can be sent and/or copied to each member of staff, plus you may prefer the pipe setup (you set the BCC in the Mail tab)

For the automated email responses setup something that people do NOT respond to, but as this is setup you still receive them (the same email address as the default sender address and System emails)

You then have one email address to catch all email sent to your WHMCS installation (which in effect is redundant and includes the above)
