Account suspended when all invoices were paid.

Recommended Posts

Greetings everyone,

I had a situation occur where a client’s account was suspended even though all invoices were paid. The account had been moved from a previous owner 2 weeks before with 2 outstanding invoices canceled from the original account. A new invoice was created under the new account and then promptly paid. The new account showed/shows all invoices paid. During the daily cron job the account was suspend as being overdue on payment. I unsuspended the account and for now have disabled auto suspension on this account in its profile. I am running WHMCS version 5.0.3 . Any ideas why this occurred?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Regards

Dave

I have had similar problem with 1 of my customers. His renewal is paid monthly by Paypal subscription and is all up to date. However he recieved an email this morning saying that balance was overdue and the hosting suspended. But no record of it in the cron email, and unable to see the email within whmcs.

Product suspensions are performed based on product due dates, as opposed to unpaid invoices. So if the product was suspended, it would indicate that the due date was still in the past. If the intent is to waive a charge, then in addition to cancelling an invoice, you must also update the products next due date to the next date you want the customer to be required to pay.

If you see no record of the email in your WHMCS systems email log, then this indicates that you have a copy of your installation somewhere else that has sent the email based on outdated data. This can occur for example if you migrate your WHMCS installation from one server to another and leave the old server's copy running, or if you duplicate the install to another server as a kind of backup copy.

You are on to something there. Was reminded me that was migrated to a new server in a new DC a couple of weeks ago by my hosting company. The old server must still be up and running. Completely forgot about that, now I feel stupid. :)
