is it possible to use cerberus instead of the WHMCS helpdesk

how could there be a compatibility issue? Of course there isnt. You just wont have any benefits of shared info and will irritate your customers. Unless you have a bridge developed for it, i highly do not recommend using a separate helpdesk.

as in users will have to login twice, they wont be able to view their tickets from their whmcs page (unless you write a script for that) and as admins, your going to have to administrate whmcs and the support script.

 

Its very inefficient IMHO unless you really really need those extra features that the other desks provide.
