is it possible to use cerberus instead of the WHMCS helpdesk

lets say i just want to use WHMCS for everything except for helpdesk

 

now i want to use cerberus help desk .

 

is there a compatability issue?

Nope. I use Kayako for my support desk and just use WHMCS for billing and ordering...

how could there be a compatibility issue? Of course there isnt. You just wont have any benefits of shared info and will irritate your customers. Unless you have a bridge developed for it, i highly do not recommend using a separate helpdesk.

i wonder if matt would consider some sort of integration of third party help desks if i place a custom order to him

as in users will have to login twice, they wont be able to view their tickets from their whmcs page (unless you write a script for that) and as admins, your going to have to administrate whmcs and the support script.

 

Its very inefficient IMHO unless you really really need those extra features that the other desks provide.
