Plesk Integration

tweek

Question

I know whm integrates with various control panels. How much does it integrate? Would screen shots be possible showing the module from plesk?

I am just a bit unclear about what exactly the integration does and how it operates. Would someone please be able to explain a bit better or provide shots?

Thank you,

Paul

it doesnt integrate per say at all with any control panels, it only communicates with those control panels. You will not be able to see a reference to whmcs or any of its functions from within plesk or any other control panel.

Play with the demo a bit and check out the manual for more information.

So it communicates with it?

what can it do in that communication, is it limited to this:

whmcs.com/features-serverintegration.php

the suspend, create etc?

It was a bit unclear in the demo exactly what it can do

it is limited to exactly what you just mentioned. Just like any other billing system.

okay i wasnt sure if any features were available in the control panel system etc.

So when a new client is entered, it is shared between plesk and the billing system?

Thanks for clearing this all up, I am a bit new to these systems and just trying to get a handle of how they all work together.

  • WHMCS CEO

Hi,

Yes, by "integrated", what it means is that WHMCS will communicate with the plesk server to create the account when you accept the order, suspend the account when the client doesn't pay, unsuspend the account when the client does pay and terminate the account once the client cancels the account. They will remain two seperate systems though - Plesk for your clients to anage their hosting account and WHMCS to manage your companies billing.

Thanks for clearing that up.

One more question. We will be selling hosting services directly, which would obviously be billed to the client directly. But also to resellers, from the hosting management I would want them to show up as normal accounts/clients, but can we set it up in the billing side to fall under one account holder (the reseller) so that he would be billed for 40 hosting accounts (and then he handles his own billing how ever he wants)

But they would not have a reseller account,

they would be a client,

In plesk i want each company that reseller sold to have a seperate account, in the billing i want them to all fall under that reseller, one bill, one entry.

The reseller would not be reselling directly from our systems. They would sell, then have me set it up. and bill the reseller for it, or 50 all at once. But from the plesk hosting management side i want them to look like separate clients.
