Internal 500 Server Error on "Complete Order"

My webhost has tried helping me with this issue as I was certain the issue is server-related, however they've still been unable to fix after 2 weeks....

Basically, I only ever get this error when testing the 'Complete Order' functionality, through the front-end of the website. As soon as a client clicks to complete the order (using a free package for testing), the page appears to be loading, then it times out after a long period. However, the welcome email is generated, the invoice is generated and the account is created (via WHM). Although, in the activity log within WHMCS, the last logged activity for the transaction is "Running Module Create on Payment". Even though the account is created in my WHM, there is no further action upon this so I'm guessing this is where things time out?? It maybe also worth mentioning that the client receives no email regarding the cPanel account details (so it doesn't get that far)...

Other notes which maybe worth knowing:

- my WHMCS is accessible via HTTPS (SSL connection via key)

- My reseller account is hosted all on 1 server (e.g. my WHM installation is on the same server IP as the WHMCS solution, but in a different directory of course...). Meaning that they communicate with each other during the ordering process.

- Once the order page is generating and its inevitable its going to timeout, I cant access the home page of my WHMCS (admin or user front end!)

Do you have any ideas at all what this could be?? Is it worth me re-installing WHMCS again all from scratch? This is becoming increasingly frustrating from what I was told is an out of the box solution.

Is it a shared server? I would install WHMCS on a VPS if you can as I had similiar issues to you (admittedly I wasn't running two systems at once -did I read that right?) and performance is fantastic now. Been testing it all day and had no 500 errors or module errors.

PS

I am quite new to WHMCS so please don't take my info as gospel :)

Sounds more like it is a configuration issue within WHMCS and is not receiving the message back from WHM that the product has been created and the credentials saved into the MySQL database

Check the account to see if the password has been imported

No, the OP appears to be running on one system with WHMCS sending instructions to WHM

The issue is there is no response back from WHM
