Multiple Accounts For One Client

orty

Question

I'm demoing WHMCS right now (after getting my Ioncube issues finally figured out). I have a few clients that have multiple sites and multiple domains on my server. I was thinking that I could create a single client and have their multiple orders listed under one client (so they don't get billed three times for their three sites).

I'm using the latest beta, and under the client's profile under the products/services tab I click on the "click here to place a new order" and it says "Not availabe in BETA Version. All orders must be submitted through the client area." Is this just because I'm trying the beta and not the latest stable release? Is the beta going to have this feature or does the latest stable version?

i think you already answered your question when you stated what the error said. =P

It obviously says its not available in the beta version. Since your a new client, i really dont think you should even be messing with the beta version as thats just for debugging purposes. You should checkout the stable version

Yes, I know I should probably be playing with stable and not beta, but what fun would that be? ;-)

But you still didn't answer my question -- is this feature supported in the stable version?

Where exactly is this feature?

I also have a few clients hosting several domains, and several different add on options, but when you go add an order, you can only add one at a time, so it still generates several invoices, which is pretty annoying...

I'd like to know though where you are able to achieve this?

Also, what's the use of add an invoice in the admin area when you are in a client's info. All it does is open a new invoice with nothing there, no drop down box, no info, and only one line??? what's the use of that?

I seriously think this new version has alot of bugs... I've been having problems all day trying to get my customers updated (for instance charging double set up fee, and when you add the same domain with a different tld, it gives it to you blank...

I'm not sure i made the right step in upgrading...

You can add multiple accounts to a client no problem. But yes, you have to place multiple orders. Invoices aren't generated if you tick the Don't Generate Invoices tick box or if you use the PayPal Subscriptions payment gateway.

As for adding an invoice, it works the same as it always has. After you add an item, a new line appears. You can enter any description, very flexible, not limited only to products - much better than a dropdown menu would be! I think you'll find its very useful.

There are very few bugs in the new release. Check the dev tracker for all the confirmed issues. If it's not there, it's unlikely to be an issue.
