It is good practice to copy the package details from WHM to WHMCS, sometimes the fields are not copied correctly and so WHM creates a custom package

 

I've never had this happen. Are you talking about copy/paste failure picking up extra spaces? I cant really see how it would cause any issues unless you explicitly typed it incorrectly. It either works or it doesnt.

I had it when installing my first group of packages and again when replacing the product names

I found with some items not completed in WHMCS the package created in WHM did not occur and instead it created a custom package which I then had to replace

 

By custom package I mean a package that was not the same as the others

As an example I did not specify the number of MySQL databases in WHMCS, but in WHM the package had 5 specified

When a new account was created WHM created a package with unlimited number of MySQL databases

 

This happened numerous times, so now to be on the safe side I make sure all the details are the same in both WHMCS and WHM
