Cpanel 11, cannot change password

Since we installed cpanel 11, I noticed that password is not always syncronized with the one on server for newly created accounts. And when I attemp to change password from whmcs, I get :

Server Command Error

An Unknown Error Occured

 

Anyone having this problem as well ?

First, passwords between WHMCS and cPanel will never synchronize. Their is no possible way to get any account password from cPanel.

 

As for the error above, you may want to contact support.

There are known problems with cPanel 11. It's not till the next release (couple of weeks apparently) that the majority of these will be fixed/corrected.

Although it reports an unknown error occured, it should in fact have changed the password perfectly fine.

UNTIL I found my problem..

In WHMCS, in the "Product Services" Tab (In Client Profile), the link to login to cpanel X3 is

 

http://72.55.156.210:2086/xfercpanel/xxxxxx

 

instead of

 

http://sellwebhost.com:2082/frontend/x3/xxxxxx

 

I think That was why I could not login...

 

I suggest you change the link for cpanel x3

No, that login link is logging you in as root - not as the user - so the link is correct but you don't use the accounts details for it - you use your server login details.
