Free subscriptions for the customer's next renewal,,

Hi

 

I was wondering what would be the best practice to actually allow a current customer i am having for several months now, to have his next renewal set to 0 USD

am afraid his invoice was already created by the system

 

i just want him to remain subscribed for another 30 days ill offer him for FREE (maybe more the next months)

and i dont want the system to actually log that he have made a payment (I cant mark his invoice as paid)

 

how to do that?

Quite a few options for this

 

1(this is the method I use)

Add the required credit to the clients account

Open a Support Ticket and advise the customer they will receive an invoice shortly and can use the credit on their account to pay this

 

2 (I use this method for Domain Name renewals)

Add a note to yourself about the client

Modify the renewal date

The next invoice is generated and correct

Once this invoice has been paid reset the renewal date back into sequence

Close the note to yourself

 

3 (this is the method you want)

Add a note to yourself that one month is set to free, but on completion needs to be set back to payment type

Set the next renewal payment method to free billing cycle

This will generate a nil invoice

Mark this as paid once received

Reset the next renewal payment method back to previous

Close the note to yourself
