Calling Users, Linking and Expiry

I need the following answered.

1) Calling users

I have the login integration code placed in the top of the website however once someone logs in it still appears you have not logged in. Simple fix, just use the "if logged in" "if logged out" commands. So, that will be done now when they are logged in I want it to say Welcome back _customers first name_

The "_customers first name_" is the code snippet I am looking for.

2) Linking

I am working on an upsell page which will be check boxes if they wish to have the product. The downside is the current links I see in a product page takes you to the product after you click it to set it up etc. Is there a way to make it so you can simply check boxes and have them added to the shopping cart and allow you to stay on the upsell page until youre done and head to check out?

3) I am looking for a code snippet which tells customers how many products they have expiring so they can click that snippet and be taken to the products that are expiring.

Thanks!

4) I also need to remove the sidebar from the order pages. I saw this http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=21209 however my code is different.

Still not resolved:
