Reseller Account Question

Lethy

Question

Hi,

I asked via a sales ticket regarding whether WHMCS has a reseller system, where people can resell our hosting services as their own and if so, whether it's possible for us to charge different amounts per reseller.

I was told this isn't possible and the only reseller system is the ability to resell WHMCS licenses.

Now that I've got a demo system up and running, I see that there are reseller accounts. It's got me confused, is this reseller accounts as in the WHMCS licensing or as in reselling our services?

Thanks

Lethy, someone asked a similar question a few days ago.

Are you asking that if you have a plan in your WHMCS for $20/mo for regular clients, do you want to sell that plan to resellers at $10?

If so, you could do it, but you need to use coupons or a hidden product.

Otherwise, as Adam says, you need a vps or dedicated server, and you set the reseller privileges and reseller account resources in the control panel of the server, ie: WHM or Plesk etc.

Anyway, either of these would not enable the reseller to use your WHMCS to resell to their clients. They would need their own license to have their own WHMCS or find an alternative way to bill/manage their end-users.

That's right and thanks. Makes perfect sense.
