V4.6? No too easy... Introducing WHMCS Version 5.0

The secret's finally out!

You might have heard we had a new release coming up, and if you haven't, then where have you been?!?

For the past few months, we've been hard at work developing some major updates to WHMCS. Introducing some much requested features & improving on many of the existing ones we already had, Version 5.0 is set to be the best release we've ever made.

I expect some of you will be concerned that a major release like V5.0 means a difficult upgrade, but don't worry, we always ensure upgrades are as seamless for users and developers as possible. We have continued to build upon the proven and stable codebase we already have, and therefore not only will upgrading be just as easy as ever, but the fundamental things you love about WHMCS will all remain the same.

We posted several previews and teasers in recent weeks, but there's still a lot more to reveal, including a bold new client area design which we hope you'll love as much as we do.

And so today, we're pleased to release the initial beta release of V5.0 to our test user group.

Here's the headline additions in Version 5.0:

This is a beta release but as always, the best testing comes from live use, so that's exactly what we've been doing here for the past month. And what we need now is some of you, our real world users, to install either in a test environment or for real, and give us your feedback on what we've done. We're also looking for some active developers to help test & provide feedback on some of the many new developer features we've added to this latest update.

So if you you'd like to be a part of the beta testing, and feel you have time to try the system, and contribute comments, feedback, ideas and suggestions back to us over the next few weeks, then please visit our beta testing forum area for further details: http://forum.whmcs.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40

We anticipate the stable release will be made in early November but stay tuned for updates.
