johnh
Hi, I have activated Paypal Invoice, Paypal Subscription & Authorize.net And I tested few orders and when I choose Paypa Invoice and unfinished transaction(unpaid still) and tried to change payment option in admin area, I could not see Paypal Subscription in dropdown menu even this order does not include on any yearly/onetime fee. How can I change to Paypal Subcription option at admin area? thanks

Adam
Hey, What are you trying to do with PayPal subscriptions? Are you trying to pay via subscriptions or just switch over subscriptions? From, Adam
johnh
Okay, if client does not choose Paypal Subscription during the payment/order, it does not show Paypal Subscription on Invoice page as options and it does not even shows on drop down menu. Also it does not even show on admin area which admin can not change it either.... is there anywa to solve it?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted June 27, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted June 27, 2007 PayPal Subscriptions cannot be used in invoices. It will show in the admin area in the payment gateways dropdown menu though on the account. Search the forums for more info. Matt

Adam
Even changed it admin area, it does not show on client's invoice dropdown menu.. and no way let client to pay it as paypal subscription..hm.. Hey, If you chose PayPal subscription, as stated by Matt above, it will NOT show on the invoice. No matter what. To have the client pay via PayPal Subscription tell your client to login to the client area. Click on My Products and Services > {chose the product/service} > Find the button called Recreate Subscription or something with those words. Once they hit that button, it will re-create the PayPal subscription. From, Adam

NO paypal subscription on payment method
Adam
Hey, What I posted above is for the CLIENT AREA, not the Admin Area. Try and login to the client area and the follow the above steps. Thanks, Adam

Adam
yeah.. checked on client..but I dont' see it. Hey, In the Admin Area for that product chose PayPal Subscription as the payment gateway. --- Login to the client area, and click on My Products/Services > Chose the product you set for the gateway > Then find the button called Pay Now From, Adam

charlottezweb
I think I'm facing this same issue -- what's the logic behind not being able to select from all the gateways you have enabled? Right now, the vast majority of my customers with incoming payments were established prior to converting to WHMCS from another system. So I'm having to manually mark invoices as payment received daily but in some cases paypal isn't a dropdown option even though the account shows paypal as the method of payment. I'm worried it's going to confuse a lot of people since that leaves me to choose 2checkout or mail in payment both of which don't apply.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 3, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 3, 2007 If you want PayPal as an option on invoices then you need to enable the gateway PayPal Invoices. Subscriptions are not available on invoices.
charlottezweb
If you want PayPal as an option on invoices then you need to enable the gateway PayPal Invoices. Subscriptions are not available on invoices. Ah, ok, that makes some sense. I didn't realize I would need to activate two paypals for the same gateway but I think I understand the logic. Sorry to hijack this thread (I can open a new one if preferred) but is it normal to then display both on the order page? Someone signing up isn't going to understand "paypal" and "paypal invoices" Thanks Matt
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 3, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 3, 2007 Yes, most display both but you can change the name that is displayed - "PayPal One Time Payments" and "PayPal Automated Payments" are the most commonly used. johnh
But WHMCS's client area does have subscription bottom on invoice page... can we do something like that on WHMCS?
