Addon ID or Order Items ID in email merge code

Hello all:

 

Here's the basic problem I've been fighting with and haven't yet found a very good solution.

 

I'm going to import my users into their own email lists with my autoresponder service (aweber) depending on which addons they buy.

 

So, my original thought was to copy the "New Order" email to the aweber email parser and bring them in - easy.

 

However, their parser sucks and only lets you test on one condition.

 

SO I was curious if there would be a way to set it the "New Order" email a string of numbers based on which items they purchase.

 

I'm guessing it would be in the mergecode {$order_items) and I tried inserting {$order_items.id} but that didn't work. any thoughts, tips, or ideas?
