tomdchi
When canceling or deleting a order that contains a SSL cert WHMCS is not changing the status of the ssl cert in tblsslorders. While it does remove/cancel the service the email link that was sent to the customer will still open up a config window and show the cert status as "Awaiting Configuration". This will allow a customer to have a SSL cert issued even if the order was canceled or deleted.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 28, 2011 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 28, 2011 How are you cancelling the order exactly? Deleting it? Because if you've already provisioned the SSL product for the customer, then you will have paid the SSL provider for the certificate, so you would need to go ask them for a refund at that stage if you can't simply re-assign the SSL product to another customer. tomdchi
That is not exactly how it works with Globalsign. Only after an order is accepted by their API are funds deducted from our balance. For example: Our ssl certs are set up to automatically provision after the payment is processed. The customer gets an email with a link for them to configure the cert. At that point nothing has been sent to Globalsign. Only after a customer puts in all the required info (CSR, approver email) and this info is validated does Globalsign accept the order and deduct funds. I am talking about before the customer successfully submits the required info to Globalsign that there is a problem with deleting, canceling, or cancel & refund an order from the Manage Orders page. You can put in canceled status from the Products/Services page but only it wasn't first. I noticed this after Globalsign went offline recently and I had to cancel and refund some orders. Even though they were refunded the email link would still work. In this scenario a customer could ask for a refund before they have submitted their info to Globalsign and after the refund is completed they could still have a cert issued. All that needs to be fixed is the status in tblsslorders changed from Awaiting Configuration to a canceled status when cancelling or deleting from the Manage Order page.
