Instantly suspend an account if miss payment?

crspyjohn

Question

I had a quick question and I can't seem to find an answer.

I'm using WHMCS for this service I'm offering. I would like to suspend the account or terminate right away if they miss a payment either to cancelling a subscription or failed CC attempt. If I even give them a one day grace period it could mean a huge lost for me.

I'm wondering in the automation part of WHMCS do I set it Suspend Days Enter the number of days after the due payment date you want to wait before suspending the account

to 0 to have it suspend them on the day or how would it work?

I have the services suspended the day after the cron update occurs, setup in Setup -> Automation Settings

This then allows the customer to pay throughout the final day on which payment is due

So let's say the service is paid up to 05th of the month

At the next cron on 06th the service is set to Suspended : reason overdue on payment

I have the cron set to run at midnight daily for that reason

Not sure though why you would incur charges for non-payment by a customer

I then handle terminations manually

After 7 days of non-payment a final invoice overdue notice is sent

This includes details that after 28 days the account will be terminated and all data deleted from the server
