Questions about the WHMCS affiliate program

First, if this is the wrong area in th forums, sorry!

But what I wanted to ask from thsoe users who are WHMCS affiliate users, and from those who have been successful in referring others, what types of things did some of you folks go through to aquire successful trafic?

I'm in the middle of trying to promote WHMCS to my blind friends, even wrote a blog entry on my website that was a general overview giving the prices, etc.

But I was curious what types of things you folks have done.
