m8internet
As an example, customer contacts you and asks how much for 4 Domain Names You then reply, advising them you will shortly create a quote and if they accept it will bill them accordingly, and create a quote The customer then reads the quote If they accept it, then an invoice is created which they then pay You then need to manually create the products that match this This then presents an issue on renewal as the standard renewal rate will apply Therefore a new product needs to be created, in this example it could be something like customer_name-four_domain_names which is then priced accordingly Coming back to the original quote, you can then advise if this is an introductory rate, discounted rate, one-off, and so on I prefer not to do this and simply advise that on renewal the standard rates will apply, but they are free to contact us on receiving the renewal invoice and negotiate a new discounted rate This is also useful for products or services you don't openly advertise Say for example you agree to design a website for £350 You then create a quote, they accept, an invoice is created, which they then pay In this case no product would be created
