sub-accounts detail doesn't display

Sub-accounts (contacts) can be added from both the admin or the client interface. After I add the sub-accounts, on client interface it only gets listed under Choose Contact drop down, but it doesn't display the actual information for each sub-accounts under Manage Contacts page and I don't see any permission either. Does anyone know why and how I can make the information display?
