kimaweb
Hello. Question.. In clients area under product details there is a login button to cpanel. How do i change it from the IP to the server hostname indstead? My problem is that my SSL certificat is signed for server.kimaweb.dk and not my IP adress, so when clients try to login they get a certificat error, which is reaaaaallly bad... Anyone whom know how to change it? Matt
Adam
Hey, You can try and change the server IP to the hostname. Edit the server from the server menu in the Admin CP and add server.kimaweb.dk instead of the server IP. From, Adam

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 20, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 20, 2007 That happens when you enable SSL Mode and your server doesn't have support for SSL connections. It would be unrelated to changing the IP. Matt
kimaweb
But my server dos support that. Is that something that can be enabled in cpanel?

ldobson
I have the same problem, is there a variable for the server hostname?, as i have multiple servers so hard coding in the hostname is not an option.
mediademon
Would like to know what this is too... tried {$server.host} and {$server.hostname} which both don't work!
merlinpa1969
we just put the host name in the server setup where it asks for IP works like a champ
stephen_c01
Really I think its something whmcs should change in their server module. Its an easy change, where account creation etc.. Is via IP but links are via url. -sc
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted October 18, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted October 18, 2008 ldobson reopened this thread from May 2007 so it's a bit out of date now. A hostname field was added to server configuration a few versions ago which is now used for login links if specified. Matt
