diastech
i have had 2co for a while just using thier links to provide reoccuring payments and that has served well for a while, but now i am starting to outgrow that and i that is why i am now using whmcs, but getting the billing right is just confusing me a bit. i have some questions and i hope you all can help clear this up for me. at this point, i am currently using 2co.com and i just started to add clients to whmcs (2 as a trail for now) using 2co and PayPal as a option. both are currently using 2co right now, but we might switch this at the end of this discussion, depends on the feedback i get here. at the moment, i dont do more then $400 a month on reoccurring charges. i now understand that 2co does not work with whmcs on easy reoccurring charges as i thought. which my ideal solution would be for the client to order once through cart and have them billed and payment processed automatically every month without the client having to login to their whmcs account to make a manual payment every month. i know this, or something like this is coming on version 4.5 in whmcs. since this isn't available at the moment, this has me thinking if i should be going a different route for my business and just get away from 2co because their fees are pretty high anyways. so i was reading in the forums here and i see a lot of suggestions to signup for paypal payments pro which acts as a merchant account. now this is where i am getting a bit confused.... again, my ideal solution i am looking for is for a client to signup through the cart once then be billed, payment processed automatically every month and the client would just get thier email notices as usual. the only time i would want the client to login is for updating a expired credit card. i dont care if the card is stored in whmcs or not, as long as this process is easy for the client to complete. now i signed up for paypal payments pro at $30 per month, but as i was signing up, there was another option there to add reoccurring billing for another $30.00 per month and it stated that paypal pro does NOT support reoccurring payments without that. so i am thinking to myself that i might have made a mistake in signing up for pro because i DONT want to pay $60.00 a month. at this point, i am thinking if i should go to quantum gateway. but i dont know much about it. the fees look low enough, but i dont know what else i would need to use quantum gateway. i do have a business banking account now. does quantum just take the place of 2co or do i need other merchant type services to make quantum work with whmcs. also, i dont care if its quantum or not, i am just looking for a easier solution at this point so i am open to suggestions, but also clarification on those suggestions. can someone help clear this up for me. thanks in advanced for any help and feedback.
