twallden
I am a eNom reseller via WHMCS, though i have never made a deposit or bought anything yet. However i was browsing for a SSL cert for my site and saw that the Comodo EV is only $159. Then i go to Comodo and their price is €359 EUR = $525.561 USD. So that is a $366 USD discount for the same product. So before i do any buying here i'd like to know... whats the catch? Do i get charged for the rest of my life with some hidden fee i can barely read? It seems like thats to good to be true, or? Any thoughts? have you purchased any SSL via eNom? If so, how does it work? Since id like to start doing this because of their insanely low prices.
scurrell
SSL's always cost substantially more if you go direct.
twallden
I understand that, but almost $350 off? So you think i will get exactly the same as what i would have got if i bought it directly from Comodo? And yes, i guess i could contact eNom support, but i don't want to wait 2-3 weeks for a reply... Not even sure i can get a EV SSL installed on a reseller account at HG, kinda new to this SSL stuff.
simplybe
I have purchased lots of rapid ssl and geotrust certs from enom and they have always been identical to those offered direct. Enom support usually replies the same day.
sohouk
Direct buying is often discouraged in order to persuade users to go to resellers. Look at Nominet (UK name registrars). Go direct it will cost you £80:00 for a domain. Go to a reseller and its as low as £6:00 Certificate providers are no different. Enom are not known for their low prices, but in relation to SSL stuff they are not too bad.
