Servarica WHMCS XenServer module (version 4.0 or higher)

Recommended Posts

Hi

Servarica is pleased to announce to you all that a new Version of our WHMCS XenServer module is released today in Beta State.

After acquiring HostOurWeb we started rewriting their module from scratch which resulted in much more stable and feature rich module.

The Main advantages of the module are

  • full utilization of XenApi (no services required to be running in XenServer)
  • More Stability (The stability of the module is derivative from the stability of XenApi itself)
  • More Security (no services installed in the server side)
  • Bandwidth Billing (bill your users for extra BW they use)
  • Bandwidth Usage Graphs (MRTG) and Total Bandwidth summery

The module supports the following operations

  • Provision (install) new VPS (CentOs,Debian and ubuntu)(Fedora and Redhat should be supported but not tested)
  • Terminate VPS
  • Suspend VPS
  • Boot, Restart and Shutdown Vm
  • Detect Vm power state (running or shutdown)
  • Show how long vm has been running
  • Command history

Currently the Module is in Beta version for the first 30 Beta Users you will get 2 months free of charge and 20% lifetime discount afterwards

use the following code for Beta Testers

SWXSMBT

Also any user Can test the product for 1 month free of charge using the following code

SWXSMFT

Can you provide screenshots?

yeah I have added some screen-shots to this page

http://servarica.com/xen/

Also does this work with XenServer 5.5 ?

yes it works with XenServer 5.5 with no problems (some of my clients already have XenServer 5.5)

does this work with Windows ?

everything the module does is working for windows except auto provisioning (installation) when order is placed. You will have to install the windows vm manually

So in other words we support the following feature set for windows

# Boot, Restart,Shutdown Vm

# Terminate VPS

# Suspend VPS

# Detect Vm power state (running or shutdown)

# Show how long vm has been running

# Command history

# Bandwidth Billing

# Bandwidth Usage Graphs and Total Bandwidth summery.

if you have any other question or comment please don't hesitate to ask either here or directly by email to support@servarica.com

Thanks

yes of course

we are using the XenAPI which is provided by Citrix and it is guaranteed by Citrix to work with any version above version 4.

and to explain more XenCenter which is the windows application that is used to manage XenServer is using the same xenAPI as the one we are using

so basically any XenServer that you can connect to it using XenCenter you can manage it using our module

Thanks

Hi,

This thread seems to have dried up, is this still actively under development, and can we still expect a console addition to the system?

I am currently using xvp to manage Citrix Xen products which includes the console and is free, and I have a custom script which does account provisioning, but it is all a bit clunky, this product looks better, apart from no console access.

Hi,

Well we are working on a big update now for this module.

info here: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=39470&highlight=xenserver&page=2

We are working on a console but the problem is that the console needs to be secure.

XVP console is (just like the console in xencenter) for the administrators.

A client console needs a bit more security (u dont want a client to view all the consoles on the server by just changeing the ports with firebug).

Just a quick update for anyone thinking of buying this module, I purchased it as a test to see what it was like.

- It's hard to install, mainly because:

- The documentation is really bad, because:

- Half the steps are missing, and things are all over the place.

I would advise you steer clear for now, I will update the thread if I get anywhere.

It does not look like the module is really updated anymore.

I reported several problem, bugs, suggestions almost 6 months ago and nothing happened since then.

also the support is a bit too (!) slow on responsiveness.

Hi All

The long waited xenica module has new update.

Changelog and new features are here

http://wiki.servarica.com/doku.php/changelog'>http://wiki.servarica.com/doku.php/changelog

We also decided to make the support process more open to all of us by adding 2 components

1- a wiki for documentation: currently all documentation will be posted in this wiki please ignore all other documentation not in this wiki as they are outdated

http://wiki.servarica.com

The wiki is open for anyone to make changes to documentations or even rewrite some parts of it or add imeges etc (please change it as you feel you need to)

2- new forum for supporting the module since we noticed the vast majority of issues are repeatable we decided to activate a forum idea where all can ask questions and all can answer

the forum is currently at this address

http://forum.servarica.com/

please lets use the forum for the support of this beta release as much as possible

In the first page of the wiki there is list of pages with install and upgrade instructions

Notes: The module is well tested with the exception of install procedure and documentation so even through it is beta I think it is production ready (maybe you will face some issues in install and upgrade procedure depending on your enviroment but once installed the module was very well tested in live environment)

you can download the module from the client area at this url

http://servarica.com/clients/dl.php?type=d&id=59

and install instructions are at the wiki

http://wiki.servarica.com/doku.php/xenica_install_instructions

We have created new promo code for users who want to give the module new test.

the promo code is

XENICATRIAL

this will give you 1 month free of charge

Note that there is only one condition if you decided to go with the promo code which is that all your support will be done through he forum (http://forum.servarica.com/)

No support will be given through chat or ticketing system to users who order using the promo code.

The reason for this is that we are planning to build public support database for the module to lower the module costs in the future

Also currently we offer complete module install configuration and template generation for 80$ one time fee.

This is very usefull for users who dont have time or for users who are still new to whmcs and xenserver

you can order the module for correct number of your servers from here

https://servarica.com/clients/cart.php?gid=26

also to order one time install service please order it from here

https://servarica.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=199

Thanks
