sohouk
We have ID protect set-up as a Product but I can’t see how to enable it. What I did: Domain Pricing Dialog The names that can use this service all have ‘ID protect’ checked on them under the Domain Pricing option. Setup > Domain Pricing > (TLD) > ID Protect = checked. Note: I am aware which domains can use Enoms ID Protect service. Product / Services Dialog Now, in the Product/ Services dialog I created the product (calling it ‘ID Protect’) as an optional item offered when registering / renewing a name. This is in a group called ‘Addons’. Setup > Product & Services > Group >(Product) I have set-up the pricing and billing periods but have no information as to the Module Settings Tab. Module Settings Tab I am stuck as to what module settings (if any) I need. Common sense tell me that the ID protect orders are undertaken as part of the Domain registration / renewal process setup in the Domain Pricing options. But there is no documentation so I can’t tell. However, the most baffling thing is that back in the products page, the ID Protect shows Auto-Setup as OFF and there does not seem to be any place to turn this on. How do I turn the Auto-Setup option on and if it is on, does it set itself up at Enom without further intervention. Trevor
sohouk
Having visited this again, I think it would be easier if someone could either describe, or point me to a post about how to set up Enom ID Protect from scratch. It not clear if ID protect should be set as an Addon or Product/Service. I'm guessing its not an Addon as there is no option to assign it to domain registrations. sohouk
The option 'ID Protect' appears at the bottom of the Domain Pricing screen. If this is checked and set-up does that complete the process for new domain registrations or is there any more to do? I also have ID Protect set up as a separate Product / Service because I want people to be able to purchase it after they have the domain name registered. I think that is correct and has to be done that way because WHMCS can't cope with ID Protect purchase unless ordered at the time of registration. But I am not too certain WHMCS can activate ID Protect on its own and appears only do this at the time of a purchase, which seems a huge shotcoming. Does anyone sell ID Protect subsequent to domain registrations? Trevor
scurrell
Does anyone sell ID Protect subsequent to domain registrations? We do. Works fine if ordered as an option when registering the domain. Not so good if required on an existing domain - we have to add it manually at Enom.
