Patty
Do I need to create packages for each server?? I have two servers and I just realized that I can only import accounts from one of them, since the packages usernames are different. Importing will fail on the second server. Same goes for creating new accounts. WHMCS requires that cPanel packages include the username. So I have my packages named the same way in both servers, but the usernames are different. So WHMCS will only import or create accounts on the default server, because the package name won't work for the other server. What if I have 10 servers? Will I need to create packages for all of them? Unless I'm missing something here, maybe the way WHMCS handles packages names should be changed to work with several servers with different usernames.
PPH
It's not WHMCS that requires the usernames, but rather the cpanel reseller accounts
Adam
Hey, You don't need to have packages at all. If you have root access, then you should be good to go with out packages. If you are on a reseller account, you may need to have the package option. From, Adam
Patty
Tks for your replies. Resellers don't have root access. So the question stands: how to make WHMCS work with multiple servers with different usernames for the packages?
PPH
Looking it over, I guess it's only possible to set up seperate products for each server. Although I hope someone will step up and give some insight as to how this would work.... otherwise a new feature may be needed?
Patty
Exactly. Maybe the username in the package name should be defined by the server picked in the dropdown.
Patty
Hi, Matt. Any word on this? Will this be changed for the next release? I think this is an important issue for those who have multiple servers.
