Hi skshost,

My windows firewall is turned off on my dedicated box, therefore technically all ports are open.

On a side note, Plesk allows me to use my templates... it's only WHMCS that errors out when trying to create the windows plesk account.

Account Creation Failed: -

Well, I've been wanting to invest in a linux box running CPanel anyway, so here's my chance.

I'm waiting to see what happens re Plesk on Windows, but in the meantime I'll be offering hosting on CPanel on my linux dedicated. Ah well.

  • WHMCS CEO

No problem. It's something about Plesk only updating their API to work with domain templates from version 8 onwards. Before that, the templates couldn't be used to setup accounts via API calls.

I just had the same thing happen to us. We are using cPanel 11 on Linux. Last evening I changed some ssh configurations and thought it was something that I did in there.

But I discovered that one of my partners changed a a setting in the Server configuration Area. He checked the connect with connect via SSL. I unchecked in and no more Socket Connection Failure.
