Hey,

you could use google trranslate and translate the whole site. It lets you browse, and it translates it all for you at the same time.

It isn't perfect, but its a good work around.

You won't get as much out of competitors as you would with WHMCS. It makes your company very efficiant.

MANY PEOPLES OF BRAZIL NEED OF THIS!

Just wondering how many? Why not translate this into a notepad doc, and send to Matt. This may assist him into making the admin area with ability to select language. How can he translate this into a language he is not familiar with?

datahosts, that is not the problem. I offered to translate the admin to Brazilian Portuguese the same way I did the client's area. But Matt isn't thinking of making admin area multilingual (at least not at this time).

I don't have problem with the admin in English, I even prefer it this way. But it makes really difficult for people who don't understand the language to manage the system. And the system is the heart of the business. You can't control it if you can't understand the language. Would you like to have to use something to translate your admin every time you need to use it if it was in Chinese?? Would you still use WHMCS if it was in Chinese and you couldn't understand how to manage your own clients? I became a reseller thinking that WHMCS could be a huge success in Brazil. Unfortunately I cannot sell something for users who can't understand the language so until today I sold 0 licenses in Brazil!

I think that is the point here. The day Matt decides to make admin available in other languages, I'm sure he can count on a lot of volunteers to help him out with the translation. He knows he can count on me to translate to Brazilian-Portuguese. ;)

No, there's too many language strings in the admin area to make this possible. And they are added to very frequently - much more so than the client area and it's hard even keeping those up to date.

Matt, but if you make a lang file to translate the admin area and make it editable, we can translate it to portuguese by ourselves and also translate the new updates.

If this lang file for the admin area exist, just make it writable.

I can inderstand english, but my employees can't. So I need it in portuguese.

The way Matt did it for the Admin area would be a huge work to take all text strings from the code and put them on a external file.

I think that Matt should consider it. There is a huge potential for more sales on people that for some reason didn't learn english.

I suggest to Matt that he get together a team of translators, appoint someone to coordinate this team and build up an interface for submitting the translations. Setting up this would allow WHMCS to be translated fast into other languages by a Team of dedicated people.

The sales potential would be increased for sure. Think about it Matt... I know it will be a huge work to get all those text strings from the code out to an external file, but maybe it will be worthy, if sales can grow.

I can volunteer for the portuguese-pt language right away. I am sure others will volunteer for other languages.

Cheers and keep the good work.

Hey,

If people do not know English, and Matt has it translated to other languages, how are they going to order WHMCS when the website is in English? Or what if they need support (English Only)!

That is something that the reseller network can cope with. We already do that for several resold packages. We do front line support and only when it gets complicated to solve do we open a ticket with Matt.

This way the sales can be made to non English speakers and to people that prefer to deal locally with someone that speaks the same language. this also helps reduce the amount of tickets Matt receives.

If you can't view the sales potential on this move, then just ignore what i am saying.

Please be aware that there are alot of people the has only basic English and allot more that never learned English.

Since Matt created a reseller network, why not jump another step and have the software completely translated in any language available?

Cheers,

Adam picked up on the main issue here, support. As some will no doubt be aware, we have a partnership with HostDime. Their Brazil devision has resold a large number of licenses and supporting those clients is very difficult. I only speak English so everyone who uses WHMCS and wants to communicate with me also needs to be able to speak English.
