Change 'Next due date' after unsuspend

Hi,

When a customer does not pay an invoice within the allotted time and their account is suspended, they have no access to their services (after the suspend module is executed). When the customer decides to pay 2 weeks later, their account is unsuspended, but their next due invoice date is still the previously set date. The customer has in effect therefor paid for the service for the period when their account was suspended. Surely if the customer pays the invoice the 'Next invoice due date' should be advanced to one month from the date they pay? We are currently doing this manually but are looking to automate it.. What am I missing?

There are two issues with reactivation

Yes, the customer is paying for time when they had no service

However, a Domain Name is renewed consecutively

Therefore with the Domain Name active the hosting remains active, even if not accessable

Personally, I ask the customer if they would prefer a partial refund or renewal alignment, and for a partial refund process a partial refund for each full month if the customer only has hosting (and no Domain Name)

PayPal then adjusts the fee, so the amount paid and received is correct

If the customer requests a renewal alignment, then the same as yourself I adjust the renewal date

Nextly is the administration time and effort it takes to process this

I now charge a flat fee of £15.00 once a Domain Name has expired (introduced during 2010)

As a result, it is now rare a customer is late in paying (some do leave it to the day the suspension notice arrives though)

As above, although the hosting may have expired and become suspended, the Domain Name is still live and active
