For web hosting I use whmcs but for PC support I use other tools. I want to use whmcs for both services. So that all billing and customer support be in one system. 1) Is there away I can setup whmcs for PC support services (which is not tied to hosting package) and collect payments and user information? 2) Ideally I want to link Whmcs shopping cart to computer support section of my site so people don't get confused with hosting packages Thank you in advance 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gaarahost Posted March 1, 2011 Author Share Posted March 1, 2011 To clarify further, my pc support service includes Remote support, which has various prices depending on the type of service (pc tune-up, virus removal, one issue resolution etc). when I created PC support as group, then remote support as a type, this options appears in the main order form. I wish to keep these two services separate - I don't want my hosting client to see the pc support services on the same order page. apsmike Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 First of all you can setup any kind of products in WHMCS and not just hosting products. Now as you have specified that you want to setup products for PC support you can do it. I have not quite figured out what are the benefits of configuration options though. I was trying to setup a separate order form for pc support which I thought would show only pc support services as oppose to showing both hosting and pc support on one order page hence asking people to choose one or the other. Is it possible to setup two separate carts? For example, I tried to activate a separate shopping cart module but it still takes me the same order page that has hosting package. apsmike Posted March 3, 2011 Share Posted March 3, 2011 When you create group, there is a separate link generated using which you can directly go to the product list of that group. So when you created group for PC services, a link for pc services must have generated. When you visit that link only pc services products will be displayed. Now you can link your website buy now or sign up now buttons for pc products to that link for pc services, so when any visitor on your site click on buy now button of pc services he will be redirected to WHMCS cart page which only has PC services products listed and no hosting products will be seen by the visitors.
