interfasys
$50 for 2 years, startssl.com (Doesn't work on Blackberrys) And I just re-read you question and you can't just add new domain names later, you would have to buy new cert for that. My suggestion: Get free (or cheap if you insist on paying) certs and use SNI. Edited March 3, 2011 by interfasys
GGWH-James
One wildcard certificate will not secure multiple domains such as domain1.com, domain2.com, and domain3.com; if that's what you were meaning when you said adding a clients domain to it. A wildcard certificate would secure sub1.domain1.com, sub2.domain1.com, and sub3.domain1.com though. With a Unified Communications SSL though, for example, you can include any combination of domain names, subdomains, IP addresses and local host names with a maximum of 40 "items" in total. interfasys
That's incorrect. You can buy certs with multiple domains in them.
GGWH-James
If the issuer allows, you can add SANs (Subject Alternative Names). I believe I gave an example of that. However, a general wildcard certificate won't secure domain1.com, domain2.net, and domain3.nl though. interfasys
It's not called a wildcard cert, but if you buy a cert from StartSSL, you can have domain1.com, domain2.net, and domain3.nl in the same cert as long as they all belong to the same person. It wouldn't work in this case since nay27uk want to add his clients' domains.
