whiplash13
I was wondering if there is any way to make a product an addon. I am creating a product for website design and will be offering free hosing with this package so I wanted to know if there was an easy way to set this up as a package. The easiest way I could think is if I could create it as an addon to the website design package but I don't see a way to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
reddexdesign
Hi WhipLash13, You would need to create a promotional code in WHMCS then in your welcome email you would need to state the promotional code or link to cart. That's the only way really. You could create a product config addon but even then there would be no automatic setup. Hope that helps a bit, Thanks, James

This is sort of what I figured. I saw a bunch of posts about packages but they haven't added this feature yet. I assume there isn't a way to add 2 products to a cart using a single url string is there?
reddexdesign
Hi, Errrm... Maybe. You would have to ask one of the pro devs here. Thanks, James
Alistair
Why not just create it as a hosting package, priced accordingly in mind of your website package price?
Alistair
By the way, have you tried to configure it as an addon? I use this feature, but not for hosting packages. It is possible to buy a product and have an option of the addon - I don't see why it shouldn't work for a hosting addon.
