Patty
WHMCS is not allowing to register domains with same name and different extensions, i.e. mydomain.com and mydomain.net. It says "The domain you entered is already registered".
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted April 24, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted April 24, 2007 That doesn't sound right. Both versions of the domain must already be in the system. This is checked against products - not domain registrations. Matt
Patty
There's only one domain in my system so far. I'm running some tests and this happened when I tried to place another order with the same domain name but different extension. And I tried other extensions as well just to see if it would register. Not.
Patty
I figured out what happened. I thought the system wouldn't allow the ordering of domain names already on its database, but actually it does not allow registration of existing domain names, even if it's not on its database yet. Sorry about the trouble. If you want, go ahead and delete this thread, it's useless.
