jeremyhaber
The funny thing is I was about to start developing this as I needed an oauth module for a current project. But this is great that its been included into WHMCS. But how does AutoAuth work? The fact of the matter is there is no specific way to make oauth work. Its fairly open ended. There seems to be no documentation on the matter anywhere on the WHMCS site. Does this work the same way as in their examples at http://oauth.net/documentation/getting-started/ ? Any help or even the example test file would be great.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted December 17, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted December 17, 2010 The best place to start is our documentation @ http://wiki.whmcs.com/AutoAuth If you have any questions after that you can let us know. Btw, oauth has nothing to do with it. Matt
jeremyhaber
Thanks Matt. Just noticed a quick spelling mistake on the last line of the page: "The AutoAuth hash is generated by performing an sha1 hash of the email, timestamp and AuthAuth key you defined earlier in the WHMCS configuration.php file as follows: " AuthAuth should be AutoAuth. Shouldnt it? As for this not having anything to do with oauth, I disagree. This is essentially an interpretation of oauth. I'll give it maybe done in a bit of a different manner, but it follows the basics of oauth with private keys and hashes.
Nitrodesign
The documentation is geared towards more experienced programmers. Matt, post a sample file for us. Ricardo Lobo http://www.seusiteimobiliario.com.br
