WHMCS Email Templates Not Working

A day ago all of the emails that WHMCS send out stopped working, they have been fine for years and now instead the template the email comes though as follows, nothing else.

Any idea what might have happened and how I can fix it? It is for every email that gets sent via WHMCS, the email templates are all fine.

FIXED, I found this error in the activity log

 

Smarty Error: unable to write to $compile_dir '/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/templates_c'. Be sure $compile_dir is writable by the web server user.
