VAT update

Afternoon folks

Not sure if anybody else will remember this but some kind soul put some sql code up at the last UK VAT change that changed all the percentages (saving you having to go through country by country). At the time it was a change from 15% to 17.5%, with it now going up again.

Given that there is a VAT change in the UK on its way for the new year I have been trying to locate that code again so I can impliment it on time.

If anybody can find it, it would be much appriciated :)

This one?..

UPDATE `whmcs`.`tbltax` SET `taxrate` = '15.00' WHERE `tbltax`.`name` ='VAT' ;

Job done...

EDIT:

For the rate change to 15% on 1st December, you will just need to delete the existing rules and setup new ones for the 15% rate. Existing invoices are locked in at the rates that were set at the time they were generated so deleting/altering the rates in the configuration area will not affect previous invoices, only future ones as required.

Alternatively, running this query on the DB will update all existing rules:

Code:

UPDATE tbltax SET taxrate='15' WHERE taxrate='17.5';

See http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=15910 for furthur discussions on the change.
