Income this year VS USD Paid

I am trying to figure out how WHMCS comes up with the figure posted as USD Paid when you click on the unpaid invoices tab. This figure doesn't jive with anything in my records at all. The income this year as seen under the admin summary tab is totally different. The income reflected as USD Paid under the unpaid invoices tab is almost equivalent to the income I show under the reports tab annual income report when I add the last three years of income together (My WHMCS only has 3 years worth of income which is how long I have been using the system.) But even then it is slightly higher by about $1,000. What gives here?
