How to add a local credit card type?

Hello,

I created a custom gateway module and the only thing that is missing is to be able to add a local credit card type with 8 digits.

I do not need to transit the card type to the gateway but I do need to be able to add to the client credit card number field an 8 digits cc number without getting an error.

 

The best option will be to add additional cc type but any work around with mastercard will be greatly appreciated.

This post is quite old but maybe it will save you some time...

The solution is quite simple, all you have to do is to add an <option> with the card type to the every template file with cc option.
