knipper
Hi all, I currently have a WHMCS subscription on a dedicated server. However, I sold part of the business, and now only have a handful of accounts left. I am considering getting rid of my dedicated server and going to a reseller who includes WHMCS in their package. Would I be able to import or transfer all my existing info (customers, payment info, accounts, payment gateways, etc) from WHMCS on my dedicated machine, to this new reseller account? If so, can someone let me know how or point me to documentation. Thanks!
knipper
I think I may have found my answer here... if someone could verify! http://wiki.whmcs.com/Licensing Hi all, I currently have a WHMCS subscription on a dedicated server. Anyway the answer is a most definite yes regardless of where you got the license. IF you dont own the license you just get a new one and perform a license update from whmcs admin area AFTER you have moved server. If you own your license then just transfer all of your files/accounts over to the new server(if you loginto the whmcs admin tools on your new server you will get a licensing error. Now log into the whmcs.com client area and perform a license reissue. From here you will then log into your admin area again on your whmcs installation and the license will be updated on whmcs, if not you just do the license upgrade and input the license details again.
knipper
OK... so I am moving from my dedicated to a reseller account. The domain will be different, as will the name servers. Will the database copy/backup and move to the new server work? I assume I will need to change the nameserevers in my WHMCS config. I mainly want the packages, customers, payment gateways, etc. to come over. I will then use WHM to transfer the accounts. Still seem do-able?
