Email problems, not receiving cron report [FIXED]

After upgrading to 3.1.1 I have not been receiving my daily cron emails.

I had previously had issues with the cron emails in an older version which turned out to be a combination of my settings being wrong and the WHMCS cron.php script terminating prematurely if an admin's email address was blank.

So I started troubleshooting to make sure it wasn't something on my end again. While watching the mail logs, I found the cron emails were claiming to be from "noreply@yourdomain.com" instead of the general pre-configured address it was coming from before. Obviously this address doesn't exist and will fail verify callouts.

fix: I was unaware that there is a new configuration option under General -> Mail for "System Emails" where you can specify the name and email address for system emails (such as the cron script)

I hope this info is useful for anyone else with this issue...
