Accessing via WWW generates error

Recommended Posts

When I try to access the WHMCS area using http://www.mydomainname.com'>http://www.mydomainname.com (note http://www.) the connection usually fails. If I access without the www, it always connects. Client and Admin areas act the same; www fails, w/o www access OK.

http://www.mydomainname.com'>http://www.mydomainname.com/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=2

Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

Works fine.

http://mydomainname.com/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=2

… I have a CNAME DNS entry for http://www.mydomainname.com'>http://www.mydomainname.com.

… Accessing the remainder of the site outside WHMCS doesn’t have a problem using www or not.

… In WHMCS in ‘License Information’ my valid domains are:

mydomainname.com,http://www.mydomainname.com'>http://www.mydomainname.com

I’m new to WHMCS and am just setting up the site. I have looked in the Admin setup and can’t find anything that I think pertains to the problem. I have searched the Forum and Documentation and didn’t find anything that helped.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Don Flickner
