Automatically set/point new domains to "Park" page in skel directory?

Hello,

I'm missing, or can't find, this function. Let me explain.

User want to register a domain but not to use it with some cpanel service. Client don't even want to point it. So how to make WHMCS to point it automatically to skel directory so when someone puts it in the URL filed, a "Park" page shows etc.

We are actually doing this for accounts main domain (that have a cpanel account) as we have placed a skel file in their public_html folders. But how to do that automatically for domains that don't have cpanel account?

Any clue?

Cheers!

Assuming you are using WHM/cPanel, this should happen automatically when you apply the Domain Name and the nameservers

If there is no package assigned it will appear in your reseller account

You login to your reseller account and insert the parked Domain Name, if it has not occured

The reason this is not processed automatically is that the Domain Name is assigned to your account within WHM, and not that of the client

However you could do this by duplicating the same setup as above, with the parked Domain Name on their account

An alternative is to to create a nil product and assign the Domain Name to this

This will then show the holding page you have in the skel directory

The customer will have limited access if you set the nil product within WHM as only having Parked Domain Names and password change; ie in the feature manager remove everything else

The problem is, if the client didn't choose a hosting package, then WHMCS can't actually create a package in WHM, and the DNS records doesn't exist on the server.
