Automatically adding small hosting package

Don't know if this has been asked before but how can I automatically add a small hosting package to the domain registration. Using promos would require many different ones because of the different domain prices and I do not want to go that way.

Well in my own opinion you would be best just to create a hosting product which is free and allow users to buy domain via the sign up process.

Doing that creates a lot of people trying to sign up just for the free hosting. That is not a very good way to do it, but thank you anyway.

Any one have a good solution for this? It's pretty much what I am looking to do also....

i want to offer a 2 month for free whit every domain that client buy

Well you could always create a free hosting product and require a domain with it. Then in your template edit it out the option for self-managed domains for this specific product.

 

So it would be a smarty template code like {if $pid != 4} ... {/if}

 

Basically what that statement say is if the product identification number is not 4 then show option for self-managed domains. Otherwise if it is the domain registration product don't give the managed domain option. I am not sure off hand if that is the right variable to check, but it should be something along those lines.
